--- title: "Use Global Search" description: "Open Global Search with Ctrl+K to find registered objects and jump to any page in the platform." ---
TL;DR
Press Ctrl + K anywhere in the platform to find a registered object or jump to a page. Type at least three characters, use the arrow keys to move through results, and press Enter to open.
## What is it? **Global Search** is the fastest way to get anywhere in Corridor. Open it with **`Ctrl + K`** (or `Cmd + K`), or click the magnifying-glass icon in the header. It returns two kinds of result: * **Pages**: module pages such as Table Registry, Model Registry, Approval Queue, and Settings. * **Items**: registered objects, including Data Elements, Data Tables, Features, Datasets, Models, Policies, Reports, Global Functions, Reason Codes, and Frameworks. Opening the panel with an empty box shows your **Recent Items**, the last 20 objects and pages you opened in that workspace. ## Searching Type at least **three characters** to start a search. Objects match on **Name** and **Alias**, anywhere in the value and regardless of case, so `income` finds `annual_income_v2`. Three filters sit above the results and become available once you have typed:
Filter What it does
Sort Best matches, Created: Newest first, or Created: Oldest first.
Object Type Restrict to one or more object types, such as Model, Feature, or Policy.
Created By Restrict to objects created by particular users.
**Show Latest Version** is selected by default, so you get one row per object. Clear it to reach an earlier version directly. Each result shows the object name, its version, type, who created it, and its current workflow status. ## Keyboard shortcuts
